TV5 Anchor booked for his abusive comments on women

TV5 news reader Sambasiva Rao made derogatory comments on women working in film industry in a news debate with Posani Krishna Murali. The issue started with TDP MLC Babu Rajendra Prasad criticizing film industry people for not coming out to support Special Category Status issue.
The anchor shocked everyone by using very abusive language in Telugu. He said that some men in film industry are ‘brokers’ and he called women in the industry are ‘L*** M****’ . Apparently, he meant that the actresses are prostitutes. This sparked off a row. Netizens are slamming Sambasiva Rao for stooping so low for TRPs. Film biggies have condemned the reporters rude remarks.

MAA President Sivaji Raja, anchor Jhansi, Uttej, Hema and several other actors lodged complaint against Sambasiva Rao and TV5 in Jubilee Hills police station and demanded arrest of the anchor. Lakshmi Manchu lashed out at the anchor. Here’s what she tweeted.
“NO ONE can use such words generalising & labelling women, no matter what. Targeting actresses, will be least tolerated by our fraternity. I condemn this & won’t let this go easy. #GetALife than gaining publicity by speaking derogatorily towards the women of the industry.”
Women activists also filed a case against on TV5 anchor Sambasiva Rao under Section IPC 509.
