My Role in ‘Gayatri’ Has Lot of Scope For Performance: Vishnu

Hero Vishnu Manchu said his role in ‘Gayatri’ has lot of scope for performance and will prove his mettle as an actor. With three films in line, Vishnu is hoping that his market would expand and accordingly is planning his future projects which are likely to be made on a massive budget.

Q: Tell us about your in Gayatri?

V: I have never played such role in my filmy career. I will be seen as young Sivaji essayed by Mohan Babu in the movie. My role involves a beautiful love story and the song ‘Oka Nuvvu Oka Nenu’ is one of the best romantic melodies heard in the recent times.

Q: What is the plot of Gayatri?

V: It is a tale of father and his daughter who get separated and how they reunite. How a father struggles to findout the whereabouts of his father is shown in a convincing way. Director Madan should be credited for this. The flashback episode which involves me and Shriya is beautiful.

Q: How far did the works of ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ have come?

V: The draft script is ready. I have borrowed the script from actor Tanikella Bharani and worked with Hollywood writer and prepared our version. Writer Sai Madhav Burra is penning the dialogues and the whole new version will be narrated to Tanikella Bharani again.

Q: How much is the budget of the movie?

V: I’m estimating about Rs 70 to Rs 80 crore. Frankly my market is not that huge but I’m confident that it will expand after ‘Gayatri’ ‘Achari America Yatra’ and ‘Voter’ release. By the end of this year, we will take ‘Kannappa’ to the sets and a Hollywood director would be wielding the megaphone.

Q: How is your son Avram Bhakta?

V: He is doing very good. Ariaana and Viviana are thoroughly enjoying and playing with their brother. But fatherhood is not an easy job.

That concludes the interview.
