Mithai is intended to be a dark comedy but fails to create fun. Weak storyline and lethargic narration doesn’t have any high points. The film takes off on interesting note but loses grip very soon.
Unwanted scenes irk audience and repetitive scenes test patience. It becomes even tedious after interval. Forced sub plots makes one anxious look at exit doors to open.
Saddest part is the comedy didn’t work a bit despite having acclaimed actors.
Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi are the only value addition to the movie. They try their best to create interest. Funny conversations between them keeps audience somewhat glued.
Background Music is good. One song is hummable.Vivek Sagar needs pat for it. Cinematography is decent.
Prashant Kumar picked a waferthin plot and tried to bloat it beyond its size. Screenplay revolves in a loop makes it claustrophobic.
Bottom-line: Mithai that diabetics may relish!
