Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s Statue of Unity has been prestigiously inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday. The World’s tallest statue is seen as India’s pride and world’s envy. In desperate attempt to criticize central government, opposition parties made false allegations that the plaque at the venue didn’t have south indian languages except Tamil.
A fake plaque image has been widely circulated on social media. Overenthusiastic geeks slammed Modi for downlooking south. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu too fell into trap and slammed center for not including Telugu language that is spoken by crores of people globally. IT Minister Nara Lokesh also supported Naidu with a tweet.
It is learnt that the plaque image was fake. Here’s the original plaque at Statue of Unity, it includes all the south Indian languages. Netizens started trolling Naidu and Lokesh for sharing fake image without checking facts being in responsible positions.
