2.0 (2018) Full Movie Review

2.0 Movie Story:

Mobiles in Chennai vanish all of a sudden leaving citizens in panic. Government launches army to safeguard them but fails. They take help of scientist Vaseegaran. Mobiles take the form of giant bird causing destruction in the city. He suggests that there is a fifth force behind this and Chitti, the robo alone can take on it.

But Chitti gets destructed in the fight. Vaseegaran realizes that Pakshi Raju(Akshay Kumar) is the real culprit. Vaseegaran and team bring back Chitti version 2.0. The spectacular battle between Chitti and Pakshi Raju can’t be explained in words, it has to be experienced on big screen.

2.0 Movie Review:

2.0 has got a brilliant concept woven into a mass action thriller presented on a larger than life canvas. The visual grandeur with top-notch technical values makes it a spectacular show all together.

The film has hard-hitting message relavant to the mobile addicted society. Not to let behind the arresting screenplay with timely twists. The edge of the seat narration with subtle comedy sprinkled here and there keeps entertaining. There are umpteen goose bump moments and adrenaline gushing action sequences.

The mass menacing style of Rajinikanth comes towards pre-climax and fans would go crazy with his signature antics.

2.0 deals with several technical concepts and terminology. Geo-biological balance is well explained. Akshay Kumar’s characterization takes centerstage in second half. His enterance in interval is outstanding. Flashback episode is heart wrenching.

Amy Jackson’s Humanoid robo act adds glamour and fun to the proceedings. The film runs on serious tone most of the time. The visual extravaganza and the engaging episodes don’t allow us even to turn heads. Climax is out of the world.

2.0 is technical wonder on par to Hollywood standards. Cinematography, the production design and the VFX are exceptional. AR Rahman’s music is to the wow in exhilarating the thriller moments.

Bottom-line: “2.0 – Thalaiva mass in Technical celluloid wonder.
