Ritu Varma gained overnight stardom with ‘Pelli Choopulu’. She was a Miss Hyderabadi before she stepped into industry. She appeared as heroine’s friend in several movies before achieving big break in the form of ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Ritu has left a mark in every household by playing an independent women role in Pelli Choopulu. In Tollywood she is seen only in one movie ‘Keshava’ after acting in Nandi award winning film ‘Pelli Choopulu’.
The ironic part of the actress fate is that she didn’t sign any film in Telugu whereas she signed three films in Tamil, all of them are opposite big stars like Vikram and Dulquer Salman. She is playing a lead role in ‘Dhurva Natchatriam’ in the direction of Gautham Menon and in ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ with Dulquer Salman. Why is she not signing any film in Telugu, is she busy with Tamil projects or is it because regular glamorous roles in Tollywood is not her cup of tea?
