Touch Chesi Chudu Story:
Karthikeya (Ravi Teja) is an industrialist in Puducherry. Family is his utmost priority. He selects Pushpa (Raashi) as his bride but breaks up with her as she hurts her family members. Karthikeya’s business is disturbed by some goons. One fine day, his close aide is killed and his family members are attacked. Karthikeya learns that his old enemy is behind all this.
In past, he used to be an honest cop in Hyderabad, too workaholic that he neglected family. He picked up a quarrel with corrupt communal leader of Old city and his son creating hurdles to their political aspirations. Now, Karthikeya returns to his duty to finish his mission of eliminating the criminals and also safeguard his family forever.
Touch Chesi Chudu Review:
Touch Chesi Chudu is a cop drama. The film is regular commercial potboiler. First half shows hero in exile as a soft family caring guy. Some fun is evoked with his marriage proposals. Comedy works in bits and pieces. Second half is big letdown as it goes haywire with inconsistent narration. Subplots don’t substantiate the main story giving no emotional excitement.
Post interval the film is heavily action packed with no room for comedy. As a fierce cop he keeps bashing up goons. Romantic track with Raashi Khanna is okay but with Seerat Kapoor is annoying. Songs are another disappointment as they aren’t to the level of Ravi Teja’s energy. As it goes the film gets weary with no proper connections or character justification. Climax is underwhelming.
Performances:
Ravi Teja looked weak and aged in close-ups. However, he’s fit and his unmatched energy keeps the otherwise uninteresting film somewhat watchable. Raashi Khanna tickles with her comical role. Seerat is in a wrong place. Vennela Kishore and Satyam Rajesh bring some laughs. Villains are not properly designed.
Technically:
Cinematography is good. VFX works are good in stunts. Background score is average and songs are big letdown. The peppy tracks didn’t suit Ravi Teja’s mass image. Dialogues are routine and outdated.
Bottom-line: Touch Chesi Chudu – Watch at your own risk!
The film has very routine story. Neither the screenplay is intriguing. Forcible scenes with not so well written episodes bore to the core. Touch Chesi Chudu, as name suggests better not to be touched.
