Kodangal has become battleground of sorts for Telangana elections. Ruling TRS and opposition congress are on waging war in Kodangal segment of Vikarabad district. There was a high drama on Monday night at Kodangal.
Congress Working President Revanth Reddy has been arrested from his house at midnight by the police ahead of CM KCR’s election meeting on Tuesday. Police at large raided Revanth’s residence late in the night and moved him forcibly.
Revanth’s children took videos shared them on social media. Cops booked two cases against Revanth in Kodangal police station for giving a call to his followers to stage dharna and not allow KCR for the meeting.
Revanth’s wife Gita said that police barged into the house at midnight and arrested her husband. His brothers and aides were also taken into custody. Revanth was shifted to Jadcherla assembly segment and Section 144 was imposed in Kodangal. Congress is protesting the uwarranted preventive arrest.
