Noor Roy Chaudhary (Sonakshi Sinha) is a journalist sick of reporting silly news. She looks for oppurtunity to cover big news. Noor falls in love with Ayananka Bannerjee (Purab Kohli) who is also a reporter. Meanwhile, her brother is seriously ill.

The reason behind his ill-health is unusual. Noor finds her big story in it. She starts her investigation with the help of her friends. Noor has to face challenges and hurdles. She’s threatened and betrayed in her process. How Noor fights against all odds to unfold the the news is what the film is all about.

Noor is newsroom drama and woman-centric film. It is all about investigative journalism and what it takes in broadcasting news. Noor’s role resembles famous real life reporter Barkha Dutt. Story is simple and plain. It’s a screenplay driven film. Noor’s characterization has significance in the film.

Her longing for true love takes entire first half. Twists arrives ahead of interval. Second half deals with sting operation and Noor’s struggles. She has to face political aggression and friends betrayal etc. The film suffers with sloppy screenplay. It keeps beating around the bush.

After a point of time it becomes weary and suffocating. Noor’s character is the only interesting stuff in the film. Sonakshi’s nerdy looks and her menacing performance is the flavour of the film. Her Mumbayya slang dialogues are appealing. Other than that the film has nothing much to offer. Music is average and cinematography is decent.
