Nandamuri Harikrishna died in the car accident in the early hours of Wednesday. Reportedly, the actor-politician was travelling to Nellore for a wedding. He started from Hyderabad at 4.30 AM. The Fortuner he was travelling met with an accident at Anneparthy in Nalgonda. The vehicle hit the divider and collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
The SUV was zooming at high speed while it met with accident, according to witnesses. The car overturned leaving Hari Krishna and two others in the car severely injured. He was rushed to Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally. After brief treatment, Harikrishna succumbed to the injuries.
Harikrishna was son of TDP founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao.
He was a member of the TDP politburo and brother-in-law of TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The 61-year-old actor is survived by two wives Lakshmi and Shalini, two sons Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram and daughter Suhasini.
Ironically, his eldest son Janaki Ram was also killed in road accident in 2014 in the same district.
Jr NTR and KalyanRam have reached Kamineni Hospital upon hearing the sad news of sudden death of their father Nandamuri Harikrishna.
