Allu Arjun Naa Peru Surya – Naa Illu India Full Movie Review
Story:
Surya is diehard patriotic Army soldier. He’s so ill-tempered that he walks out his home in young age differing with his father. He also breaks up with his girlfriend. He cannot tolerate wrong around him. In a fit of rage, he shoots a terrorist in custody. Higher officials suspend him from duties.
Surya’s only dream is to safeguard nation at borders. As he pleads, officials offer him second chance but on condition that he should get certified from a top most psychologist (Arjun) that he can manage his anger. The psychologist happens to be Surya’s father. Will Surya get rid of his anger and mend his ways? Will he be able to convince his father to certify him?
Review:
Naa Peru Surya is intended to be a patriotic film. But it meddled with mass elements. The main plot is disturbed with unnecessary subplots for the sake of making it into a commercial potboiler. Romantic track starts off well but finally it too narrows into song and dance. Routine villain characters seem boring.  Too many action episodes divert the story.
First half is quite intriguing as it establishes hero’s characterization until the challenge scene between father and son that comes in the interval. Second half goes totally haywire with forced subplot of defamed Muslim military man played Sai Kumar.
As the focus shifts, the film loses grip as it becomes aimless. Hype surrounding the film that it would be on army backdrop has been let down. Too much of exaggeration on hero’s characterization and over boasting makes Naa Peru Surya ends up into routine mass entertainer.
Performance:
Allu Arjun nails it as angry young army officer with his stylish looks. He does some defying dance movements. Anu Emmanuel sizzles in songs, nothing to say. Sarath Kumar is weak as villain. Arjun is decent as doctor dad. Nadiya is wasted.
Technically:
BGM is good. ‘Lover also Fighter also’, ‘Iraga Iraga’ are good, remaining songs sound alien. Cinematography is a plus to the movie. Film rarely have any goose bump moments, the one which are good because of some well written dialogues. Vakkantam Vamsi should have concentrated on penning a tight screenplay rather than plugging in too many mass episodes.
Bottom-line: Border is too far
