Right from her first ramp walk at an early age of ten, Mehreen has always been keen to take part in beauty pageants. Post her higher education, she participated in a beauty pageant named Miss South Asia Canada where she was crowned Miss Personality South Asia Canada. After winning such a big title, she got several offers from India film industries only to make her shift from Canada to Mumbai.  Although she wanted to see herself in multiple professions such as a doctor or aeronautical engineer or a businessman in her growing up days, but Mehreeen says, it is destiny that made her an actress. She debuted with the 2016 film ‘Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha’ under ‘Andala Rakshasi’ fame Hanu Raghavapudi’s direction. Her role as Mahalakshmi, an innocent village girl from Rayalaseema received numerous accolades and as a performer, Mehreen was praised high.

Immediately, after the stupendous success of Mehreen’s debut film ‘Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha’, she auditioned for Anushka Sharma’s production ‘Phillauri’. The actress was on board after a simple screen test. She played Anu, a young woman who is about to get married to her childhood sweetheart Kannan (played by Suraj Sharma) but ends up in avoidable situations because of a friendly spirit (played by Anushka Sharma). The film failed terribly at the box office.

Post ‘Philluari’, the actress moved back to Tollywood and bagged one big project after another. She was lined up with Maruthi’s ‘Mahanubhavudu’, Sai Dharam Tej starrer ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Raja the Great’, a comeback film of actor Ravi Teja. Mahanubhavud, which released in the month of October 2017, scored a big success at the box office. This Maruthi’s directorial considered by critics by a decent time pass story with amazing performances from Mehreen and the lead hero Sharwanand. Amidst all these commercial entertainers, the actress also got a golden opportunity to act under the direction of acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Suseenthiran. Mehreen was roped in to play one of the crucial roles in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘Nenjil Thunivirudhal’ (which titled as C/o Surya in Telugu) opposite Sandeep Kishan.
