Malli Raava Movie Review
Screenplay:
Malli Raava is about revisiting of love at different stages of life. Non-linear narration with novelty is the USP of this film. Though the story is regular, distinctive storytelling makes it interesting. Incidents of three different timelines are narrated in parallel without any confusion. Scenes are well laced between similar moments of three periods at the same time keeping the curiosity intact. Teenage love story is handled sensitively. Subtle comedy here and there keeps entertaining.
Technically:
The film is purely content driven. Script-work is amaze-balls! Direction is top-notch, the way the emotional scenes are sensibly handled with simple nuances, he’s gonna rock for sure. Cinematography is decent in capturing the soul of the film. Background score further carries the feel in the scenes. Songs are also hummable.
Performance:
Sumanth’s seasoned performance helps the film in many ways. The way he showcased variations between young and matured stages adds life to the film. It could well be best in his career so far. Akanksha Singh gets equally significant role and she performs with ease. It’s a dream debut for her.
Bottom-line: Malli Raava – love lost & found
