Yatra is slated to hit screens on Feb 8th on the occasion of YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s birth anniversary. Malayalam star Mammootty is playing YSR in this biopic directed by Mahi V Raghava. Teaser and song promos have raised curiosity over the film. Baahubali actress Ashrita Vemuganti portrays Vijayamma. Jagapathi Babu will be seen as YS Raja Reddy, father of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Raja Reddy is alleged to be a faction leader who had immense following in Kadapa district. He was murdered by rivals by hurling a bomb on the car he was travelling. Yatra focuses on YSR’s Padayatra that made him dear to public and win elections in 2004. Yatra is jointly produced by Vijay Chilla and Sasi Devireddy on 70 MM Entertainments.
