Veteran filmmaker Vijaya Bapineedu died today at his residence in Hyderabad. The 86-year-old was suffering from illness for sometime. He directed several blockbusters with Mega Star Chiranjeevi like Maga Maharaju, Khaidi No.786, Gang Leader, and Magadheerudu.
Vijaya Bapineedu’s last directorial was Kodukulu in 1998. He attended Chiranjeevi’s reentry film Khaidi No 150 pre-release event.
Vijaya Bapineedu was born on September 22, 1936 in Chataparru village near Eluru. After his graduation he worked as editor of Vijaya magazine.
