Sensible filmmaker Sekhar Kammula has filed a police complaint against fraudstar who had put a fake casting call in the name of director.
The fraudstar is yet to be identified and the cyber crime police have launched an investigation into the whole episode. Going by details, the accused had advertised for fresh faces for Sekhar Kammula’s next film and for registration he charged an amount from Rs 1500/- to Rs 1800/-. As the amount is very nominal, many hopefuls have enrolled and deposited money in the details given by the accused.
However with no call arriving from Sekhar Kammula, few people have approached the police. Upon an initial probe, the police confirmed that it is a fake casting call and director Sekhar Kammula too filed a police complaint on this.
