Chal Mohan Ranga Movie Review
Screenplay:
Chal Mohan Ranga is a run of the mill romantic entertainer pepped up with hilarious dialogues. Its made on regular template of Many happy go lucky ro-com flicks. Many scenes give deja vu feel and are over dramatised. First half is fun watch with cool comedy. Trivikram trademark dialogues are terrific with many ROFL moments. The pair part ways due to a forced conflict point that is not that convincing.
Second half scene shifts to India. How hero reclaims his love by wooing her family and all. It’s somewhat slow paced and not that entertaining as first half. Neither have any touching moments. After beating around bush for a while, runaway bride climax comes with predictable and unnecessary hospital hungama.
Performance:
Hero Nithin as usual excels as nonchalant lover boy with his comedy timing. As always Nithin used Pawan Kalyan’s name here and there forcibly to get some whistles. Interestingly, Mega star is also used here. Megha Akash is cute looking like in her debut ‘LIE’, but she needs to improve a lot on expressions. Madhu and Prabhas Sreenu tickle the funnybone. Actors Naresh and Lissy are decent as parents.
Technically:
Production values pretty decent. BGM is quite okay but songs are very average. Cinematography  by Natty is neither great and it’s shaky at places. Script work is routine with archaic episodes and direction falls short with meddled second half. Only saving grace of the film is witty dialogues of Trivikram flavour.
Bottom-Line:  Template Rom-Com But An Entertaining One!
