C/o Kancharapalem Story :
The film deals with innocent and conservative lives of people in a remote village called Kancharapalem. It’s a subset of assorted short stories including romance of a 50-year-old bachelor, a youngster’s affair with a prostitute, inter-caste marriage, a disheartened sculptor etc. The events and twists in each story is what C/O Kancherapalem is all about.
C/o Kancharapalem Review:
Care of Kancharapalem is a different attempt at storytelling. Script is the protagonist of the film. Realistic yet intriguing narration with well designed characters makes it an interesting watch. Every character makes sense and has a sensible story. Most of them remind us someone on our day to day life.
The film can’t be divided into two halves. It’s a journey of characters. There are twists with lively and touching moments.
Though novel, the film is loaded with emotional drama and packaged with entertaining comedy. On the other hand, C/O Kancharapalem throws light on social issues like caste system and honor killing in a sensitive manner. The film has hard-hitting message on burning issues of today.
C/o Kancharapalem may give a artistic film feel as it appears raw and is slow paced.
Director needs a pat for presenting 50-year-old’s romance in a mature way with subtle fun and at the same time a prostitute’s point of view on society is showcased convincingly.
C/o Kancharapalem makes you laugh, thrill and cry along with the characters and get absorbed.
Over all, C/o Kancharapalem gives a different experience for good film lovers. The film takes Telugu cinema notches higher.
C/O Kancharapalem is intentionally made appear natural and realistic. Most actors are real villagers. However, director has to be commended for extracting performance from them. Amazing background score gives a soul-stirring feel to the emotional depth of the episodes. Production design needs special mention as the ambience takes us to a different world. So is the camera work that dry locations have been filmed incredibly.
