Star comedian Brahmanandam has been admitted in hospital on Sunday. Heunderwent heart bypass surgery at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai. Renowned cardiologist Ramakanta Panda performed the surgery on Monday.
Brahmanandam is said to be stable after surgery. The 62-year-old actor was accompanied by his sons Raja Gautam and Siddharth.
Brahmanandam was last seen in NTR Kathanayakudu in the role of veteran comedian Relangi. Brahmi, as he’s fondly called by his fans holds Guinness World Record for acting in over 1000 films. He was honoured with a Padma Shri in 2009.
Brahmanandam appeared as judge on TV show ‘Great Telugu Laughter Challenge’.
