Opposition plays a coup by maligning his image and Prakash Raj is made CM. Bharath continues to gain public’s support and start revolution that he should be brought back to power. Bharath also learns that there was a conspiracy in his father’s death.
Bharath Ane Nenu Movie Review:
Bharath Ane Nenu is a honest political drama blended with romance, entertainment and mass elements. The film has shades of previously seen similar political themed films like Oke Okkadu and Leader. It’s spiced up with hero elevation and Koratala Siva mark goose bump scenes. Dictator like CM who keeps reminding his oath making strict rules setting right issues starting from traffic to corporate education, local governance and medical support to rural areas. As usual he curtails nepotism and attracts animosity. Some intense emotional moments and powerful dialogues will raise claps and whistles. It’s  a decent watch but will there be repeated audience is uncertain.
Screenplay:
Film takes off on slow note with some family drama in childhood and picks pace once Bharath becomes CM. Screenplay is pretty predictable and it doesn’t have any surprising twists. First half flows free with some fun and romantic sequences. Touch political decisions and actions keeps interest intact. Romantic track between lead pair could have been better. Lavishly made songs are enjoyable. After an powerpacked interval bang, film goes flat for a while but raises with the song Vachadayyo Sami. Koratala makes a deep impact in pre-climax episode with some hard-hitting dialogues that stay on. Climax is again no different from aforementioned political flicks. The film is low on entertainment and comedy.
Performances:
Mahesh Babu nails it as stylish CM with his suave looks and subtle performance. His screen presence and charisma turns dull moments lively. Kiara Advani is decent in her limited scope role. Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji and other support cast is good.
Technicalities:
Devi Sri Prasad’s background score elevates the scenes next level. Cinematography by Thiru is terrific. Editing could have been crisp. Koratala Siva plugged in his trademark emotional scenes here and there but not adequate. Bharath Ane Nenu leaves us with wanting for more may due to high expectations.
Bottom-line: Bharath Keeps His Promise
