Aatagallu Review:

Aatagallu is a crime thriller. The story revolves round a murder plot. Screenplay is lethargic. Dragged episodes and redundant scenes test viewers patience. Complex narration confuses the proceedings. After beating around bush for a while, a forced twist comes in the interval. Actual mystery unfolds in the second half. Slapstick comedy and silly flashback makes it even more a terrible watch. The film appears outdated both in narration and making.

Nara Rohit is good at portraying dual shaded role with palpable grey character. Jagapathi Babu is good too as he appears arrogant but actually is righteous. Darshana Banik hardly had any screen space. Brahmanandam fails to bring any laughs with his routine comedy. His intro as Deepika Padukone is somewhat funny. Subba Raju is decent as a cop.

Aatagallu gives a 90s feel in making with poor production values. Director Paruchuri Murali tried his best to keep suspense intact but old fashioned treatment. Music is average and cinematography is below par.

Bottom-line: Aatagallu – Mediocre crime thriller
